Green Cleaning Recipes

Make Your Own All Natural, Green, Cleaning Products.

Over the counter cleaning products contain chemicals that have been known to cause respiratory problems, skin rashes, and cancer. Many of these products that come in a liquid form can be fatal if accidentally ingested. Why not make your own Eco Friendly Cleaning Products ?,
It’s easy and it’s fun.

HARDWOOD FLOORS

For cleaning hardwood floors just mix one fourth of a cup of white vinegar with a gallon of warm water. You will be amazed with the result, which is a shiny clean floor.

INSECT REPELLENT

For insect repellent, take dried cayenne peppers and fill a spray bottle one fourth of the way full. Then, fill the spray bottle with water, and apply to your garden. This will keep insects away from your plants without contaminating your garden and water supply with insecticide.

TOILET BOWL

To clean your toilet bowl, mix one half of a cup of Baking Soda with one fourth of a cup of vinegar. Pour the mixture into your toilet, and let it sit for ten to fifteen minutes. Then take a toilet bush and clean your toilet. This works remarkably well.

CARPET STAINS

For carpet stains, mix one fourth a cup of vinegar with one fourth a cup of baking soda. This will form a paste that you can apply to the stain. Brush out the stain, and then clean with warm water. You will find that this works as well as any store bought carpet stain remover.

POLISH FURNITURE

To polish your furniture, simply apply about a tablespoon of Lemon Juice to a cloth, and then wipe down the furniture. This will work as well as any store bought furniture polish guaranteed.

WINDOW CLEANER

For cleaning windows, add one tablespoon of lemon juice to 3 tablespoons of Vinegar and three cups of water. Place in a spray bottle and shake well. You will have clear, clean windows.

ALL PURPOSE CLEANER

Here is a good recipe for an all purpose cleaner. Save citrus peels such as lemon, lime, tangerines, grapefruit, oranges, ect.., and put them in a jar. Pour white vinegar into the jar until the peels are covered. Store the concoction in a cool, dry place for four weeks. Strain out the peels and you now have an all purpose citrus based cleaner! I know this takes a while to make, but it’s worth the wait. This formula will clean just about anything!

In most cases, these green cleaning recipes are much less expensive than the regular store bought cleaners, so what are you waiting for? It’s fun and easy to do, and you will be impressed with the results.
