Chemical Free Cleaners

Save money by using natural, chemical free cleaners.

A couple of years ago I was weeding my garden, and I saw that my green beans were being eaten by insects. I don’t like to eat anything after a family member has eaten on it, much less another species. Still, I was loath to use insecticide, because what kills insects can at the least make humans sick. After doing a small amount of internet research, I found a natural insecticide. I filled a spray bottle with dried cayenne peppers and water, and sprayed my garden. It worked!

This led me to think about all the dangerous chemicals found in household cleaners that we kept in the house. If we could get rid of these cleaners, we could greatly reduce the risk of toddlers or pets getting into them, and possibly save some money doing it. Here are some great natural chemical free cleaners!

Chemical Free Toilet Cleaners

Half a cup of baking soda mixed with a quarter cup of vinegar is a great chemical free toilet cleaner! If you do this about once every couple of weeks, your pipes will have less build up, and your bowl will stay clean.

Non-Toxic Car Cleaner

One day while I was at a professional car wash, I was curious as to what type of cleaner the attendant was using on the inside of my car, so I asked him. “It’s citrus based cleaner dude, the strongest cleaner known to man.” After mixing a fourth of a cup of lemon juice with half a cup of water, I found out he was right! Only the car wash probably paid 10 bucks for their cleaner, and mine was the cost of two lemons. Lemon juice is amazing! It can clean anything from counter tops to plastic dashboards, and it’s the best chemical free mold cleaner you will ever find. (Orange juice can work if you don’t have lemons, but when I buy oranges, I have a tendency to want to eat them.)

Chemical Free Furniture Polish

Who needs furniture polish when you have vinegar and water? Just mix a fourth a cup of vinegar with half a cup of water, and when you spray it on your coffee table, you will have a long lasting shine that’s as good as any chemical based cleaner.

These homemade cleaning products are easy to use, and way less expensive than the chemical based cleaners that are in most homes today. I don’t understand why more people aren’t using them. They work just as well, and in most cases, better than the chemical based cleaners. By not using chemical free mold cleaners and chemical free toilet cleaners, people are just throwing their money away. If you don’t believe me, just try it for one week. You won’t believe your own eyes.
